Hi there — thanks for being here!

This little cookie business was born from a restructuring at the company I was with for over 30 years, and one that resulted in an unexpected layoff in the fall of 2025. After taking some time to get my bearings and trying to stay proactive into the holidays, I started 2026 determined to keep moving forward and figure out my next steps.

My motto became "forward motion", through whatever obstacle or challenge, big or small, because even the smallest step counts, especially on the harder days.

With that "forward motion" mindset — and a little side-stepping, this was my pivot. I decided to bet on myself and turn my passion hobby into that bakery I talked about wanting to open for years. Coupling that with another big passion that my husband and I fully share – some may call it a bit of an obsession — rescuing animals!

While I love being surrounded by the aroma of browning butter, melted chocolate, vanilla, and cookie dough, we feel incredibly grateful to have landed on a way to give back to amazing local non-profits who are devoted to helping animals in need.

Frequently asked questions

When are cookies shipped?

We want your cookies to arrive as fresh as possible after we bake them for you! We ship on Mon, Tue, Wed to minimize the chance that your cookies are held over at a facility or sit on a truck over the weekend.

*If your scheduled ship day falls on a holiday, your order will ship the next business day — no later than the following Monday.
What are the order deadlines?

By Sat noon ET to ship out Monday; by Sunday noon ET to ship out Tuesday; by Monday noon ET to ship out Wednesday.
How much is shipping?

$10.95 flat rate to anywhere in NY.
Where do you ship?

NY only (for now!).
How fresh are the cookies when they arrive?

Our cookies are baked to order and shipped per the shipping schedule noted above. Your cookies arrive within 1-3 days of shipping depending on location. Each cookie is individually heat-sealed in its own package to maximize freshness and packed in a rigid mailer box with filler to protect them while in transit.
Do you have any allergen/ingredient info?

Our cookies are made in a kitchen that contains nuts/gluten/dairy/eggs/soy.
What is your return/refund policy?

All sales are final. Due to the perishable nature of our cookies, we do not accept returns or exchanges. If your order arrives damaged or you received the wrong cookies, please contact us at orders@cookiestotherescue.com within 24 hours of delivery with a photo of the cookies and packaging and your order number. We will review each situation on a case-by-case basis and, at our discretion, may offer a replacement or store credit.
